A lot has been said about "Cactus Tree," the elusive last song on Joni Mitchell's 1968 debut LP, Song to a Seagull. The melodic ode to personal liberation through the eyes of a young woman in the late '60s can still leave a listener breathless with its brutally honest perspective.

The track is taken from the forthcoming collection, THE REPRISE ALBUMS (1968-1971), scheduled for release on July 2, 2021. The  box set includes newly remastered editions of Mitchell's first four studio albums: Song to a Seagull (1968), Clouds (1969), Ladies of the Canyon (1970), and Blue (1971). It's available in both vinyl and CD versions.

The cover art for THE REPRISE ALBUMS (1968-1971) features a previously unseen self-portrait Mitchell sketched during the time period. The collection also includes an essay by Grammy winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, another artist who's been influenced greatly by Mitchell.
