Hot Wax: Joy Division, CLOSER: 40TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

This year marks the 40th anniversary of one of the seminal albums of the post-punk era – Joy Division’s CLOSER – and to commemorate the occasion, Rhino is reissuing the album on vinyl...and not just any vinyl, mind you, but crystal clear vinyl.

But it’s not just CLOSER that’s celebrating this magic number: it’s the same anniversary for the band’s iconic single, “Love Will Tear Us Apart.” As such, Rhino’s celebrating similarly for this situation as well, but we’re not just reissuing that single, we’re also reissuing “Transmission” and “Atmosphere,” too!
