Rhino Factoids: Sandie Shaw

Sandie Shaw first hit the scene on this day in 1967 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with a rousing rendition of "Puppet On A String." She became the first UK female artist to win the contest and would later win the affections of Morrissey who invited her to take over the lead vocals on The Smiths' "Hand In Glove".
