Out Now: COMPLETE AND UNBELIEVABLE: THE OTIS REDDING DICTIONARY OF SOUL (50th ANNIVERSARY EDITION)

October 15 will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of one of the greatest R&B albums to be released during the course of the 1960s, and if you ask a music critic, it probably won’t take much prodding to get them to declare it one of the greatest R&B albums of all time.

COMPLETE AND UNBELIEVABLE... THE OTIS REDDING DICTIONARY OF SOUL was the last solo studio album released by Otis Redding during his lifetime, but what a way to go out: noted rock journalist Jon Landau has described it as “the finest record ever to come out of Memphis and certainly the best example of modern soul ever recorded.” In celebration of the album hitting the half-century mark since its initial release, we’ve released a two-disc deluxe edition which features stereo and mono mixes of the album which have been remastered from the original master tapes as well as eight bonus tracks.

Yes, it’s coming out digitally as well as on CD, but we’re also releasing it on vinyl as a 2-LP set. The good news? Both LPs are on 180-gram vinyl. The bad news: if you want the eight bonus tracks, then you’ll still need to get either the CD or the digital version. But here’s another piece of good news to help leave you smiling: the vinyl version also includes a bonus 7” reissue of the “Try a Little Tenderness” / “I’m Sick Y’all” single.

Here’s the full track listing of the various versions of the set, so you can confirm definitively that there’s a ton of joy to be had no matter which medium you prefer:
