Morrissey - "Satellite Of Love (Live)"

Parlophone Records are pleased to announce the digital release of Morrissey's impassioned live version of Lou Reed's "Satellite Of Love." The release is a timely tribute and homage to one of the most important influences on Morrissey's life and music. Morrissey's version of the song was recorded live at The Chelsea Ballroom at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on November 25th, 2011.

Upon Lou Reed's passing, Morrissey said of him:

"He has been there all of my life. He will always be pressed to my heart. Thank God for those, like Lou, who move within their own laws, otherwise imagine how dull the world would be."

The original version of "Satellite Of Love" appeared on Reed's 1972 album Transformer, which was co-produced by David Bowie and legendary and hugely influential Spiders From Mars' guitarist and arranger, Mick Ronson.

The release of "Satellite Of Love (Live)" will coincide with the December 3 U.S. book release of Morrissey's Autobiography on GP Putnam's Sons as well as the Penguin Classics complete and unabridged digital download of the Autobiography audiobook, read by the acclaimed actor David Morrissey.
