EAGLES' STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX SET FOR RELEASE ON OCTOBER 29

THE STUDIO ALBUMS 1972-1979 Limited Edition Boxed Set Features Six 180-Gram LPs

The Eagles' original Asylum Records studio albums, including each of the chart-topping albums the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers released between 1972 and 1979, will be released on 180-gram vinyl in THE STUDIO ALBUMS 1972-1979, a limited-edition, six-LP boxed set available October 29.

THE STUDIO ALBUMS 1972-1979 includes each of the six Eagles albums that defined an era. Each LP features replicas of the original album packaging with two special artwork upgrades - the sleeve of the debut album, EAGLES, will finally be released as the band originally intended, with no glue flaps, so the cover folds out into a poster, as described in this year's acclaimed documentary History of the Eagles. HOTEL CALIFORNIA will include a replica of the poster from the original issue with band photos by Norman Seeff in full color, for the first time. THE STUDIO ALBUMS 1972-1979 is limited to 5,000 copies and comes housed in an individually numbered slipcase with a gold foil stamp of the band's logo.

THE STUDIO ALBUMS kicks off with the band's eponymous 1972 debut, the first of two Eagles albums produced by Glyn Johns. The disc spawned the hits "Witchy Woman," "Take It Easy" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling," and is followed by the band's second album, DESPERADO, which features the iconic title track and "Tequila Sunrise."

Remembered for the hits "Already Gone" and "Best Of My Love," which was the band's first No. 1 single, 1974's ON THE BORDER follows. That album was the precursor to the Eagles' first No. 1 album, 1975's Grammy®-winning ONE OF THESE NIGHTS, featuring the smash hits "Take It To The Limit," the title track, and "Lyin' Eyes."

Additionally, THE STUDIO ALBUMS includes 1976's HOTEL CALIFORNIA, the album that immortalized the band with the unforgettable title song as well as the hits "Life In The Fast Lane" and "New Kid In Town." HOTEL CALIFORNIA was followed up in 1979 by the band's third consecutive No. 1, THE LONG RUN, yet another multi-platinum effort made famous for the title track, plus "I Can't Tell You Why" and the No. 1 hit "Heartache Tonight."

With lineups that included Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, Timothy B. Schmit, Bernie Leadon, Randy Meisner, and Don Felder, the Eagles are one of the most successful bands in history, having sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning five No. 1 U.S. singles and six GRAMMY® Awards. The band's EAGLES - THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975 album is the best-selling record of all time, with more than 29 million copies sold.

Earlier this year, the lauded History of the Eagles documentary debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, available now on DVD and Blu-ray, and the History of the Eagles tour launched July 6, 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky with 48 concerts booked for 2013. Box-office records set during the July leg of the tour, include the following:

On July 7, 2013, the Eagles' performance at Milwaukee's Summerfest was the annual event's biggest draw ever, with 22,672 tickets sold.

12 Canadian concerts in July sold more than 150,000 tickets, which included a performance at the annual Newfoundland and Labrador Salmon Festival where more than 20,000 fans attended. There are seven additional Canadian concerts scheduled in 2013.

History of the Eagles tour resumed September 4 in Seattle, Washington, with dates scheduled through January 2014. Full itinerary can be found below.
